Contipark took over the car park “City” in the city centre of Hof (Saale) on 01.04.2022. With this object, the Berlin company strengthens its property portfolio. For Contipark it is the first own property in the Franconian city. So far, the company has operated several car parks at Hof’s main station on behalf of DB BahnPark GmbH. These are now joined by the multi-storey car park in the centre of Hof, which was previously known to residents and guests of the city under the name “City Parkhaus Wöhrl”.

The multi-storey car park, built in 1992/1993, has ten split-levels with a total of 277 parking spaces. With its location in the heart of the city centre, at the beginning of the pedestrian zone between the old town and the new town, it is within walking distance of most of the city’s sights and surrounded by numerous shops, restaurants and cafés. The parking property’s customer groups are correspondingly diverse: visitors to the pedestrian zone and the city centre, residents, shopping customers, commuters and tourists regularly frequent the car park at Longoliusplatz 4.

In order to further increase the attractiveness of the parking facility connected to the city’s parking guidance system and to improve the customer experience, Contipark will make various investments in the coming years. For example, a renewal of the parking technology is planned for 2022, and in 2024 a concrete renovation will upgrade the building structure.

But already now there are significant improvements for customers of the car park. The opening hours, for example, have been extended. Instead of 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. as before, motorists can now use the parking facility around the clock. The connection of the facility, including the building technology, to the company’s Customer Service Centre enables users of the parking facility to contact the company’s service staff directly from the parking facility in case of questions and problems – and thus to get help quickly.

The parking fees are 1 euro per hour or part thereof and 6 euros per day.
