After about one and a half years of extensive renovation work, the former Fürth underground car park “City-Center” was reopened under a new name on 17.09.2021. As the underground car park “FLAIR”, it completes the retail complex of the same name in the heart of Fürth, which has also been completely renovated.
At the end of 2019, Contipark had concluded a cooperation agreement with the P&P Group, the owner of “FLAIR”, which had also stipulated an investment in the associated underground car park by the P&P Group as part of the renovation of the shopping centre.
Users of the parking facility now experience a friendly ambience, state-of-the-art technology and a high level of comfort. The renovated underground car park is characterised by a spacious design and wider parking spaces. To achieve this, walls were removed and the remaining walls as well as ceilings and floors were renovated. In the process, the floors received a new screed layer and a special coating to ensure their longevity. Clear signage and routing in the Contipark design facilitate orientation. In addition, the previous traffic routes were changed for better traffic guidance.
Contipark has also invested in an individual space detection system, which enables drivers to see the occupancy status of parking spaces from a distance by means of green or red LEDs. In the course of redesigning the parking facility, the company is also acquiring an additional partial area of the property. A total of around 530 parking spaces are distributed over three levels, including four spaces for people with limited mobility and nine women’s parking spaces. The entire underground car park is barrier-free.
Favourable rates round off the offer. For example, the first hour or part thereof costs 1.70 euros, and 2 euros are charged for each additional hour or part thereof. The maximum rate for 24 hours is 9 euros. With the P Card, Contipark’s free customer card, drivers benefit from attractive discounts. With it, every hour or part thereof costs 1.20 euros in the underground car park, for 5.50 euros P Card holders can park for 24 hours. From Monday to Sunday from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. there is also a theatre rate. An hour or part thereof costs 1.20 euros, and for 3.50 euros you can park for up to three hours.
With 22,000 m², FLAIR is Fürth’s largest retail property. With 60 shops, culinary highlights, unique and innovative attractions for young and old, the FLAIR sets a new standard and, in addition to the shopping and entertainment experience, creates a communication platform for the people in the metropolitan region (more at: www.flair-fuerth.de).
