Contipark has kept its word. With immediate effect, the 417 parking spaces in the “Oberer Marktplatz” underground car park and the 223 parking spaces at the “Kurhaus” can be accessed via ultra-modern car park access systems. These ticketless parking systems work with licence plate recognition systems. Contipark, one of the largest car park operators in Germany, has invested more than half a million euros in both facilities in Freudenstadt. “When we took over the two car parks in February, we promised our customers clean, safe and affordable parking facilities as well as state-of-the-art technical equipment. We have now kept this promise,” says Andreas Knops, member of the Management Board and Head of Property Management.
State-of-the-art parking technology and Pcard make parking much easier
The modern parking technology includes a ticketless parking system with number plate recognition, user-friendly pay stations and a direct connection to the Contipark Customer Service Centre via a video and audio channel. “The new system works ticketless. This is a modern and low-friction technology that is as self-explanatory as possible and therefore equally accessible to all customers – that’s important to us,” says Stephan Opitz, member of the Management Board and Head of Operations. The payment process is uncomplicated: Customers enter their licence plate number at the machine and can pay with cash as well as cashless via major credit cards or ApplePay.
Contipark also brought its nationwide Pcard customer card to the change of operator. For Pcard holders, an hour or part thereof costs just EUR 0.30 instead of EUR 0.50 or EUR 8.00 for the day instead of EUR 10.00. “We are very pleased that this modern technology will further enhance the central parking facilities in Freudenstadt and make parking easier and cheaper for our guests,” says Tobias Degout, Managing Director of Stadtwerke Freudenstadt – Bäderbetrieb.
